February 27, 2012 – Yet another FFBL Podcast is up; Nick and Dan tell me it’s the best one yet. Check it out here.

February 7, 2012 – Worth the wait? You decide! A brand new FFBL Podcast is up here with another special guest – yours truly, the Commish. Let’s thank Dan and Nick for their efforts and be sure to give it a listen!

February 1, 2012 – Happy New Year to the entire Franklin Fantasy Baseball community. And what a year it has been already! The 2012 Supplemental Draft went off without a hitch, with Yu Darvish going No. 1 overall to the Scranton Yankees following an 11th-hour trade. It should be exciting to see how players from the Supplemental Draft Class of 2012 fare as they work their way up through their respective FFBL farm systems.

As you may have noticed, wide-ranging updates are being made throughout the site as we here at FranklinFantasy.com gear up for spring training (pitchers and catchers in less than three weeks!) You will find many updates on the Documents page in particular, with fresh links to missing Supplemental Draft results, as well as Blue Hell award results and a new Podcast archive. Expect more from Dan and Nick on that front in the future.

Other than that, we here at FFBL are simply looking forward to a new season. So shuffle those roster, keep the conversation going on Twitter and get ready for what is sure to be another great season of Franklin Fantasy Baseball!

December 29, 2011 – The second installment of the new and wildly popular Franklin Fantasy Podcast is up on the site, accessible both here and on the right status bar . This week’s show features a special guest – click to find out who!

For those who did not see, the 2012 Supplemental Draft date is also set for Jan. 26 at 8:30 p.m. Let the mock drafts begin!

December 16, 2011 – Welcome to the new FranklinFantasy.com homepage!

This page is the first phase of a redesign aiming to incorporate social and multimedia into our already-existing site. More changes are in store for the weeks ahead, but for now, take a look around to see what’s changed.

As you can see, there is now a right sidebar in place with a Franklin Fantasy Twitter feed embedded in it. If you do not already have a Twitter account, please sign up and let me know so I can include you on the feed.

Also on the right bar is a link to the latest FFBL Podcase and an MLB.com RSS feed displaying the latest in Major League news. I hope you enjoy the changes, and as always, feedback is welcome!

December 15, 2011 – Happy holidays to the league and its managers., and here’s hoping everyone is enjoying a relaxing offseason. This is just a note that extensive web site updates will take place in the coming weeks as we look toward next season. Dates are coming soon for the 2012 Supplemental Draft, as well.

But more exciting is something that I hope will become a regular part of the site: An FFBL podcast featuring the managers of Supreme Clientele and the Bluth Company. Some exciting features are in the works to feature these podcasts creatively on the site, but for now, give the first one a listen here.

November 10, 2011 – Another season in the books means that another awards season is upon us. Ten of you helped vote this year to recognize the best of the best in the FFBL Blue Hell Managers’ Choice awards; now, see how your favorite players did.

A belated congratulations also to the Nixon’s Nasty Ninjas on their third FFBL championship. The Records page will be updated soon to reflect everything that happened in a memorable 2011 season.

September 5, 2011 – To the league’s 10 non-contenders: thank you all for a fantastic season. And to the six playoff teams: It’s time.

For some Franklin Fantasy franchises, the last five months have been about nothing more than this: the 10th postseason in Franklin Fantasy history. For others, such as the three playoff teams that did not make the postseason last year, it is about establishing a place in league lore.

With the postseason now upon us, do check out the 2011 FFBL Playoff Preview, now live on the site. As always, feel free to comment on the league message board, and good luck to all six playoff teams as we descend into what is sure to be a fantastic competition.

January 8, 2011 – A happy New Year to league members and fans worldwide! I’d like to take some  time to wish a quick farewell to the Shawntendo All-Stars, who are leaving the league after four wildly successful seasons (including two Franklin Fantasy championships). The All-Stars represented the type of commitment and dedication necessary for this league to exist, and we thank them and wish them luck in all future endeavors. Once an FFBL member, always a friend of the league.

That said, the world turns and business continues. And so it is with great pleasure that I would like to introduce our newest manager, Ryan Breslin, and his team  the White Russians. You might know Ryan as that guy standing off-camera on the set of Little Miss Sunshine, but to us, he represents the future of Franklin Fantasy Baseball. So feel free to give him a shout and welcome him to the league, as we continue with our offseason procedures.

This year’s Supplemental Draft will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. I look forward to seeing you all there.
